I work a regular full time job, I had taken the last year off to focus more time on my artwork. My Grandmother was an Art Teacher and a painter as well, she started me early with drawing and painting, and when the closest neighbor lives 20 miles away you begin to appreciate the ability to create.
Sometimes the need to create becomes overpowering. An idea sparks and snowballs until I'm consumed. A rush of adreniline propels me and I can think of nothing except the array of paints and brushes in front of me and how each will play a part in unfolding my vision on the canvas. I can devour a canvas within a matter of hours, in that space and time there is nothing more real to me.
